A city that works for everyone means a downtown where you can get around gridlock by using a public transit system that is effective, accessible, and affordable. I ensured that TTC fares have been frozen for the last three consecutive years and I will vote to ensure fare capping is maintained and expanded so that the more you ride, the less you pay. We all succeed with a TTC that is safer, faster, more frequent, and protected as a public service.

A More Affordable and Reliable TTC

Froze TTC fares for three consecutive years.
Introduced fare capping so the more you ride, the less you pay — after 47 rides a month, you ride free starting September 2026, dropping to 40 rides in 2027.
Championed TTC and GO fare integration to make transfers between transit systems seamless and more affordable.
Improved service on all streetcar lines, restoring and exceeding pre-pandemic levels.
Supported adding transit priority lanes on Dufferin Street and Bathurst Street, and introduced transit signal priority to make TTC service faster and more reliable.
Expanded cellphone service across the TTC.
Increased cleaning on the TTC to improve the rider experience.
Expanded the Toronto Community Crisis Service (TCCS) on the U-section of Line 1 so riders can access the right support when and where they need it.

Safer Streets for Everyone

Deployed over 100 traffic agents and 881 crossing guards to keep intersections safe.
Installed 16 new traffic control signals across Toronto Centre, with eight more approved and on the way.
Invested in local traffic calming initiatives in collaboration with local residents.
Introduced new fines for drivers blocking intersections and added traffic agents to keep intersections clear for pedestrians, cyclists, drivers, and transit users.
Fought back against the province's move to ban speed cameras.
Improved traffic and parking regulations in partnership with the community and Parking Enforcement Officers.
Completed the Sumach Street missing sidewalk to close a long-standing gap in the pedestrian network.
Prioritized expanded sidewalks and cycling infrastructure in street redesigns and new developments.

More Ways to Get Around

Expanded the cycling network with new Cabbagetown Cycling Connections and broader city-wide infrastructure; Adding 7.5km of new bike lanes across Toronto Centre alone.
Expanded Bike Share across Toronto Centre, adding e-bikes and regular bikes and installing over 350 new bike docks to meet growing demand.
Tackling congestion through the City's new Congestion Management Plan.
Supported the regulation of micro-mobility options, including e-scooters, to make shared streets safer for everyone.
Secured Regent Park Permit Parking to better serve TCHC residents' everyday needs.
Improved the King Street Priority Corridor to keep streetcars and pedestrians moving.

Pedestrian Safety & Traffic Calming

Traffic Calming & Safer Intersections: Install traffic calming measures and improve signalized crossings at dangerous intersections so that walking and cycling through the ward feels safe for everyone, including children and seniors. Expand the traffic warden program at key intersections.
Community Safety Zones & Automated Enforcement: Extend designated community safety zones near schools and parks, and continue to advocate for automated speed enforcement to hold dangerous drivers accountable.

Protect and Expand Cycling & Active Transportation

Protect Bike Lanes: Fight to preserve bike lanes on Bloor, Yonge, and University as safe, connected infrastructure for cyclists.
Upgrade Cycling Infrastructure: Upgrade all cycling infrastructure from flexiposts to full barrier protection for a safer experience.
Implement the Cycling Network Plan: Implement the cycling network plan as part of a complete streets approach that gives people safe, connected options to travel by bike alongside transit.
Bike Share & One-Fare Integration: Continue to champion Bike Share's growth and advocate for one-fare integration so cycling and transit work seamlessly together.
Prioritize Active Transportation in Street Reconstruction: When streets are reconstructed, prioritize transit, walking, and cycling so every rebuild is an opportunity to expand public space and improve how people move.

Affordable Transit for All of Us

Keep Fares Frozen: No fare increases so that the TTC is affordable for all of us.
Fare Capping: Bring the current fare cap down to 10 rides per week so the more you ride, the less you pay.
Expand the Fair Pass Program: Expand access to the Fair Pass discount program so more low-income residents can afford to use transit.
Free Fares for Youth and Social Assistance Recipients: Extend free TTC fares to youth aged 12 to 18 and to people receiving social assistance.

Faster, More Reliable Service

State of Good Repair & Construction Management: Prioritize maintenance and state of good repair investments to keep the system running reliably, while better coordinating construction activity to reduce its impact on transit routes and travel times.
Transit Signal Priority & Intersection Optimization: Finish rolling out transit signal priority across the entire network so any vehicle more than 60 seconds behind schedule automatically gets a green light. Remove left turns at major intersections on dedicated transit routes, and split pedestrian crossings on streets with medians to free up signal time for transit.
RapidTO & Stop Improvements: Support dedicated bus and streetcar priority corridors through the RapidTO network, and improve the rider experience at transit stops including snow and ice clearing and signalized midblock crossings.
Streetcar Speed & Operations: End slow zones by completing a review of speed restrictions, fix LRV software so minor speed variances no longer trigger emergency stops, adopt and apply a clear stop-spacing standard across entire routes, and eliminate manual switch operations at streetcar turnouts to improve safety and travel time.
Streetcar Infrastructure & Fleet: Redesign streetcar turnouts with double-blade switches to improve comfort, safety, and equipment wear; procure reusable modular track segments to avoid lengthy detours during roadwork; and require future streetcar procurement to include vehicles that can run in both directions.

A Safer Riding Experience

Platform Edge Doors: Champion full floor-to-ceiling platform edge doors across the subway system to improve safety and reliability for every rider.
Crisis Response on the TTC: Continue to expand the Toronto Community Crisis Service on the TTC so that trained mental health professionals are responding to the right calls.
Wheel-Trans: Protect and improve Wheel-Trans services to ensure the TTC is accessible for every rider.

Protect the TTC as a Public Service

Stable Funding from Senior Governments: Advocate to the Province and the federal government for ongoing, sustainable operating and capital funding so the TTC is not balanced on the backs of riders and property taxpayers alone.
Keep Transit Local and Public: Defend Toronto's authority to make its own transit decisions on fares, service, and operations, and resist any effort to privatize or download responsibility for a system that belongs to the people of this city.
