After serving you as TDSB Trustee, you elected me to represent you at City Hall and deliver real results for all of us in Toronto Centre.
I rolled up my sleeves and got to work.
You're seeing the results. Park encampments are gone: they're now people housed in real homes. Market Street and Church Street are pedestrianized. Traffic wardens now manage gridlock at key intersections. Allen Gardens is expanding. RentSafeTO has green, yellow, and red rating signs in rental buildings. Affordable housing has been built, with more on the way. Subways and buses are back on track, new lines are open. Our neighbourhoods now have a direct say in public enhancements.
But faced with a chaotic global economy and a volatile premier, there's much more to do, much more to deliver.
It takes more than words and promises to get things done: it takes experience and leadership that are proven to work.
Now more than ever, we need neighbourhoods that are safe, livable, affordable, and commutable; vibrant downtown streets; programs and services we can depend on; and amenities we enjoy.
This municipal election is our opportunity to step up and do more.
I have the right plan to invest in our neighbourhoods, strengthen our communities, and build a better Toronto Centre.
